FED: One in 20 Aussie households broken into: ABS = 2

For people aged 15-24, the report says males are much more likely to be victims of robbery,
while for those aged 25 years and over females are more likely to be victims.

The highest victimisation rates for sexual assault are for females aged 18 and 19 years,
with about 83 per cent of women aged over 18 assaulted by someone they know.

Victoria is the safest place to live, and has the lowest rates for both household and
personal crime compared with other states and territories.

Levels in South Australia are also relatively low.

Western Australia has the highest rates of household crime and car theft, while the ACT has
the highest proportion of personal crime victims.
